Dr. Neslund would rather see his patients for routine exams and cleanings than for complex, painful and expensive procedures. So, he and his professional see patients every 6 months, inspecting for decay, gum disease, oral cancer, bite problems and issues with existing dental work. His hygienists scale teeth, removing sticky biofilm, often the source of decay and gum disease. X-rays and other imaging, as needed, reveal hidden problems not obvious on simple visual exam.
